Taylor began recording ASMR on her cell phone, and later uploaded them to YouTube. Soon after reaching 50,000 subscribers, approximately 1 1/2 months after posting her first video she was featured in a game video made produced by PewDiePie. Taylor's Youtube channel surpassed 100,000 subscribers within 2 months. Taylor ceased to produce videos and put them on the internet in private. Her main reasons were technical problems, equipment issues, and also she became overwhelmed by her popularity. After a brief break, she started creating video. Her most popular ASMR triggers is ASMR 10 Triggers that aid in falling asleep (35 million views by the month of August in 2022). ASMR Twenty Triggers to Go To Sleep the video, which became very popular in July of 2017, has now been watched by more than 38 million people as of August 20 2012. In August of 2017, Shane Dawson featured her during an interview. The channel also reached one million subscribers within a few days. Wired UK calculated that she was earning $1,000 a daily on her YouTube channel in February of 2019.

Helfer is a native of rural Donalda, Alberta, Canada and was the daughter of Dennis Elaine and Dennis Elaine Helfer. Her parents are of German, English and Swedish heritage. She attended Stettin's William E. Hay Composite High School. The three sisters she lives with lived on the family's wheat farm. When she was waiting in theater line the scout of a modelling agency observed Helfer.
